I have to say, I love growing herbs. I'm a first-timer with plants, although my mother and grandmother loved growing things. My mom loves flowers, but my grandmother was amazing with vegetable gardens.

Since I'm not a people-person, I decided to take a shot at plants. I got apple mint, garden sage, thyme, chives, and a lavender plant. It's only been 2 and a half weeks but everything has gotten huge. I don't know if someone has been slipping them Miracle Grow or if they've just really taken to the place they're at.

Do you any of you lovely deviants have any tips or tricks you use to keep your herbs happy and healthy?

I intend to bring them inside during winter but don't have sun lamps. What should I do? Will they get enough light if they're close to a window?



Also, does anyone mind sharing recipes? And what exactly can you use apple mint in?
