So it's been nearly 2 years since I last wrote a journal here, and I haven't logged in much in between.
I haven't lost interest in art, and I sometimes cruise on over to Etsy to check out the lovelies, but I'm just not into online communities the way the I used to be. I'm sure none of my followers are holding out hoping to see more posts from me XD but in the foreseeable future, I just don't think it will be happening. Life is so dang busy in my universe that I just don't have the energy, patience, or time left for online communities--and, honestly, my real life is very full.
I do sometimes blog -> frodominatrix.blogspot.com/ I'm interested in reviews, beauty, crafts, art, books, current events, fish keeping, and parenting, so you'll find posts about those things scattered through.
My job is very hectic, and stressful, and I can't wait for busy season to end. I've got my eye on what I'd like to do as a career, but there are several things that need to happen first. It's taken me a long time to even consider something a career that'd I like to work up to, so this is a pretty large step up. I understand and am working on what I need to do to make it happen, but I do feel that it is still a few years out for me, which I accept.
The little girl we've been fostering will actually become my sister sometime (hopefully) this year, which is a completely new and weird concept that I'm still processing emotionally, because I've looked at her as a daughter for some time now. It's not going to be easy and I'm just hoping that we will transition into those different roles soon and smoothly.
My brother in law moved into our home, so my household grew by one adult and one husky. We now have 3 adults, 1 part time child, 4 dogs, 3 cats, and 3 fishtanks. It's quite overwhelming some days, lately it's been a struggle. I swear my wife is the only thing that's kept me going, she's been my anchor through all this crazy that life has thrown at us lately.
I've been painting a bit (nothing fancy, I have 0 talent in that area.) I've also been crocheting. I keep working on making scarves for the homeless or needy, but working on a project like that alone is daunting! Hello all you boys and ghouls! (I'm lame. So what? It's freaking Halloween!)
This is my FAVORITE time of year but this year I haven't been able to do any of the fun things I usually do.
Owning a house is expensive.
Anyway. We are going to pass out candy this year, since it's the first year in our own house. Last year we went to the Max. Maybe next year we'll go to the Max again.
We have been slowly working on the house. Our fences are all up and the back yard is looking more and more like a real yard haha.

We moved into our house. There are still things to unpack. I've been SO BUSY it's been hard to do anything. We got our washer and dryer in the basement but were unable to fit the couch and the chair that we'd chosen through the doorway. We went with recliners instead, since they come apart. We're still making this house feel like a home. I've been making a few things to add a touch of our personality to it such as a rainbow key hook. Our mailbox has a little rainbow flag. XD We've been trying to do yardwork but there is so much to be done. I raked the front yard and there were 240 gallons of leaves! We put a firepit in the backyard. We still need to put up a fence and do so much, it's kind of overwhelming.

We are also less than a month away from our wedding! We are finishing everything up. I just finished putting rhinestones on her shoes and hair clip last night, still have to finish my shoes. We've decided to do a sand ceremony and then display the sand in our home afterwards. We're so excited to be married!! I've never loved someone like I love her, she means the world to me. I can't wait to change my name, I've been practicing my new signature. We were also excited to see our names in the paper when we got our marriage license. After the honeymoon I can finally look for a better job and our money will be combined. I think that after everything is combined and changed, there will be a lot less stress for both of us.
